10 years already!
A colleague has this cartoon strip on his cubicle wall, maybe as a reminder of the sad realities of life.

Looking at it today, I suddenly realized that it has been exactly(to a month's accuracy) 10 years since I left my parent's home and ventured out in the big bad world.  The comic says the rest.
