Isn't it weird ...
... or at least a little surprising that Santa Clara county library owns 380 copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?
Thats just the hardcover books, and doesn't include e-books and audiobooks.

Santa Clara county is big, rich, and apparently full of young enthusiastic readers. They are quite proud of having the best county library in US (and they are really good).

People are still not done reading the book though. More than 200 copies are still out in circulation (I've got one!).

They have a book sale coming up at the end of this month. I guess they'll clean up many of these books then.

Still, it IS crazy.

The series, and especially the last book, has blown away every sales/revenue record in history. It's certainly well deserved, IMO. And if it can further the reading habits of the general public, then I think 380 copies is totally worth it.

If 200 copies are in circulation, 380 doesn't look that bad a number.

cheers,
