08:55 am - Year End Puzzles
2006 has been a great year for puzzle-solving, mostly due to the awesome ppl @ Indianpuzzlers. I haven't made as many new puzzles as I would have liked though.
So just to boost the numbers at eleventh hour, I made a couple of new ones during the x-mas weekend. These started up as easy five minutes puzzles, but based on the recent feedback I have received, they have been upgraded to 'medium / 15 minutes' category.
Both the puzzles have been verified for having unique solutions. A start-off hint: The set of conditions for both puzzles form very strong constraints. Review them whenever you get stuck.
Nuff said, here are the puzzles. Do send me feedback/comments/shout-outs for hints. I'll post the answers in a few days.

Time limit is 1 min. I wasn't even remotely close when the timer went off.
I hate sequence puzzles :(
